چکیده
Abstract This paper outlines an important step in characterizing a novel field of robotic construction research where cable-driven parallel robot is used to extrude cementitious material three-dimensional space, and thus offering comprehensive new approach computational design construction, fabrication at larger scales. Developed by the Faculty Art Design Bauhaus-University Weimar (Germany), faculty Architecture University Applied Sciences Dortmund (Germany) Chair Mechatronics Duisburg-Essen this offers unique advantages over existing additive manufacturing methods: system easily transportable scalable, it does not require additional formwork or scaffolding, digital integration informational oversight across entire building process. considers 1) key components cable 3D-printing (such as design, exploration, control), 2) these parameters into unified The demonstration full-scale particular concern.

Survey on Additive Manufacturing, Cloud 3D Printing and Services
Cloud Manufacturing (CM) is the concept of using manufacturing resources in a service oriented way over the Internet. Recent developments in Additive Manufacturing (AM) are making it possible to utilise resources ad-hoc as replacement for traditional manufacturing resources in case of spontaneous problems in the established manufacturing processes. In order to be of use in these scenarios the A...
متن کاملFreeform 3D Printing: Towards a Sustainable Approach to Additive Manufacturing
Most additive manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing, utilize support materials in the fabrication process. Beyond the technical challenges of support removal, these materials are wasteful – increasing fabrication and processing time while impacting quality. This paper presents “Freeform Printing”, a novel design approach for 3D printing without additional auxiliary structures. A 6-axi...
متن کاملPolymers for 3D Printing and Customized Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (AM) alias 3D printing translates computer-aided design (CAD) virtual 3D models into physical objects. By digital slicing of CAD, 3D scan, or tomography data, AM builds objects layer by layer without the need for molds or machining. AM enables decentralized fabrication of customized objects on demand by exploiting digital information storage and retrieval via the Internet...
متن کاملInitial Work on the Characterization of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Using Software Image Analysis
A current challenge in additive manufacturing (commonly known as 3D printing) is the detection of defects. Detection of defects (or the lack thereof) in bespoke industrial manufacturing may be safety critical and reduce or eliminate the need for testing of printed objects. In consumer and prototype printing, early defect detection may facilitate the printer taking corrective measures (or pausin...
